Cyclopia
Cyclopia, also known as cycolcephaly or synophthalmia is the presence of a single eye in the midline of the face. A rare birth defect, it arises from a severe form of holoprosencephaly, where the prosencephalon (forebrain) fails to divide. A malformed nasal structure, called the proboscis, may be found above the eye.
