Meta-analysis
Statistical analysis of a systematic review is often performed using meta-analysis with various programs and tools available to determine effect sizes of interventions.
A systematic review refers to a a rigorous literature review, where the question, inclusion and exclusion criteria and search strategy plan are well defined prior to beginning the review. A major goal is to synthesize data from multiple papers, while reducing bias to the greatest extent possible.
