Polydactyly
The presence of extra fingers or toes. ‘Postaxial’ polydactyly means an additional finger(s) on the same side as the ulna or additional toes are found lateral to the fifth toe. This can be a benign isolated finding or associated with potentially serious genetic syndromes. Clinical follow up is therefore required. May be detected on prenatal sonogram.
