Cochran-Armitage test
The Cochran-Armitage test for trend is a statistical method used to detect a linear trend in proportions across ordered groups. It’s an extension of the chi-square test for trend, allowing the evaluation of whether there’s a significant increase or decrease in the proportion of an outcome across different levels of an ordinal exposure variable (levels of exposure can be ranked in a specific order, but the differences between levels are not necessarily equal or quantifiable)
