Immortal Time Bias
Immortal time bias: A type of selection bias that occurs when a study incorrectly attributes a lower risk of an outcome to a particular exposure or intervention, because those who have not yet experienced the outcome are still being followed, while those who have already experienced it are no longer being followed. This bias is often seen in studies examining the effects of medications or other interventions on mortality rates.
