Lp(a)
lipoprotein(a) is an LDL-like particle that carries a single apoprotein(a) strand bound to its apoB-100 component. Concentrations of Lp(a) are mostly determined genetically by the LPA gene. There is robust evidence linking higher Lp(a) levels with higher ASCVD risk.
